2004-2005 GOVERNOR'S INTERCLUB CONTEST

WHAT IS AN INTERCLUB AND WHO CAN WE VISIT ?

When at least 2 or more* members of a KIWANIS CLUB visit another KIWANIS CLUB OR SPONSORED YOUTH CLUB at a regular meeting or any other organized function qualifies as an Interclub*The number of members needed for an interclub is dependent upon  the size of your club.*  You are encouraged to visit your sponsored youth clubs and observe their activities and participate in them, if possible. The sponsored youth, hopefully, are our future KIWANIANS. District Governor Tom Sullivan hopes we will visit every club in our Division during the contest which runs from 10/1/2004 to 6/30/2005.. This is called a "Round Robin." . The 3 divisions with the highest percentage of "Round Robins" will be honored at the annual convention as well as all clubs qualifying for a "Round Robin."

RULES FOR EARNING POINTS THIS CONTEST PERIOD ARE

 *  THE RULES FOR THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS FOR AN  INTERCLUB, WAS CHANGED BY KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL BASED  ON THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS  OF YOUR CLUB AT THE TIME  OF THE INTERCLUB--

  î  20 MEMBERS OR LESS NEED ONLY 2,

  î  21-30 MEMBERS NEED ONLY 3 AND

  î  31 MEMBERS OR MORE NEED 4.

1. BANNER PATCHES and/or small plaques will be awarded to clubs visiting ALL clubs in your Division and making at least one interclub visit each month during the contest.

2. LARGER PLAQUES will be awarded to the clubs with the most points in their size category provided they have visited all clubs in their division.

3. SIZE CATEGORY RULES based on # of members in your club on Oct. 1, 2004.

·       Coral: Less than 30 members                   

·       Emerald: 30 thru 45 members

·       Ruby: 46 thru 75 members        

·       Diamond: 76 or more members 

The Interclub Chairman is asked to keep an accurate record of the club's activity based on the above rules and submit a detailed report to the District Chairman by July 10. 2005  It SHOULD contain the following info:

·       Your Club name and location

·       size category and division #

·       the date and # of your club members making the visit

·       the name, location and division of the club visited

·       miles one way and # of points earned.

·       Include the # of points earned for visiting ALL clubs in your Division and points earned for attending Mid-Winter or International Conference.
