- Respite for parents - help prevent child abuse by giving them a break
- Baby-sitting education and training
- Prenatal care and education for teen moms who are concerned about
confidentiality and do not know where to go
- Safe, nurturing environment
- Immunizations
- Injury prevention
- Education for practitioners and parents
- Baby fair -- already existing in Kansas. Need more events,
locations, and transportation to reach a variety of populations.
- Child care -- quality, affordabe, special needs, all ages, flexible hours
- Education -- high dropout rate -- first three years are the most important
- Parent education training
- Insurance - public and private - How/where do parents sign up? Where
do the go for care? Difficult to sort out the details
- More involvement with the "Home Alone" program - education on
caring for younger siblings after school or when parents are not home.
- Free car seats
- Child abuse
