The twenty-nine Kiwanis Clubs in the Kansas City Metro area are working together
to help meet the needs of young children in the metropolitan area. We do
this by fine-tuning the efforts of youth-oriented community service
organizations through the Kiwanis-led Young Children's Council of the
Heartland. The Young Children's Council will help co-ordinate financial 
and volunteer resources in the twelve county area to address identified needs.

MISSION STATEMENT

Act as a communication and coordination forum for all of the Kiwanis family
in the Greater Kansas City area.

Increase the sphere of influence of the Kiwanis family within the community.

Facilitate the successful participation of both the Kansas and
Missouri-Arkansas Districts in Kiwanis International official projects.

Maintain and encourage continued involvement with sponsored youth
activities, Young Children Priority One and other youth programs.

Facilitate the unification of Kiwanis community service in the Greater Kansas
City area.
