Circle
K is hosting a "Forrest Priest Roast"
in Branson. This event is being offered as an opportunity for the various
Kiwanis and Kiwanis sponsored organizations to come together in fellowship
and have fun while we take some we take some well aimed shots at our good
friend and faithful friend of our youth, Forrest Priest. The event will be
at the Home Cannery Restaurant ($25 per person) with overnight special rates
at the nearby Ramada Inn. Festivities will begin at 6:00. Branson is
beautiful at Christmas time! Reservation deadline is Nov 20th, and you
can e-mail Ronda Lewallen at rlewall@uark.edu for registration information.
It will be a formal event.

STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM CHRISTMAS PARTY
will be held at
12:00 pm,
Drexel Hall,
3301 Baltimore, Kansas City, MO.
The Downtown Kansas City Kiwanis Club
anticipates having gift needs for a total of 25 students. All Kiwanis
Clubs that would like to support the KSAP students with gifts or
contributions should contact Steve or Joan Thompson at 816-455-2913. Lunch

Kiwanis University
is a one day "traveling road show" of workshops and forums focused on team
building, motivation, communication, and change. A variety of issues are
addressed such as Kiwanis' future, adjusting to change, membership
recruitment, and service. International staff and Immediate Past
International President Steve Siemens will lead the event. Steve heads up a
professional motivation company and is very good. Cost is $50 per
person ($200 for five if registered at the same time). It will be held at
Savior Pastoral Center in Kansas City , Kansas . MO-ARK is hosting the
Kansas City event along with Kansas and Neb/Western Iowa districts.

Lt. Governor Cheryl Anderson encouraged all Kiwanians to attend the
Mid-Winter Conference in Branson.

Healthy Lifestyles for Children is the
MISSOURI-ARKANSAS district initiative.

see the 3 year goals. Remember that First Lady Shirley Warner
has asked each club to
organize a "Walk'n Be Fit" event, preferable on April 7th, 2007.

Her goal for each club is to raise at least $100.

Clubs not making a donation to the Earl Collins Foundation were asked to forward their checks
to Sue Ridings as soon as possible.

Those attending the Kiwanis University noted that "The
first 12 minutes of your Kiwanis meeting are the most important!"
