Where:   Bartle Hall, on the South side of 14th Street

Time:  7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

March 30, 2006, Thursday What:  Blue Valley Kiwanis Club 60th Anniversary celebration.

Where:  Blue Springs Country Club

News from the Division Council Meeting December 19, 2005

 

  • All Star Awards has donated a large Kiwanis banner suitable for displaying at special events.  Contact the Lt. Governor to reserve use of the banner.

  • METRO KANSAS CITY KIWANIS COUNCIL  Dick Snedden and Whit Kirk shared the “Kiwanis for Katrina’s Children” project and announced that some of the funds will be directed to the K-Bar-B Youth Ranch for abused teenagers North of New Orleans. 

  • The Midtown Kiwanis Club will celebrate their 25th anniversary on February 11th.

  • The Independence Kiwanis Club has scheduled their annual Chili Day for February 18th.

  • The Downtown Kansas City Kiwanis Club will be adding 3 more members from the defunct Plaza Club, for a total of 7 from that club.

  • The Raytown Kiwanis Club has added 2 new members.

  • Club Presidents - be sure to have your treasurer send a check to the Lt. Governor Elect to cover the Lt. Governor expenses plus other suggested contributions shown here.

  • Lt. Governor Select Mary Ann Collier is the Missouri coordinator for the Key Leader program, and recently received special training in Dallas.  The next Key Leader camp will be held October 20-22. 2006 at Camp Mihaska, Bourbon, MO  .  All clubs are requested to include $150 in their budget to support one student from their local community.  Click here to learn more about the Key Leader program.

  • Lt. Governor Dan Sturdevant reminded clubs to register for the MO-ARK Mid-Winter Meeting February 24-26 in Branson.  Click here for the registration form and schedule.

Have you been reading the Kiwanis Inciter Marketing Newsletter?  It gives really good ideas on improving your public relations image to the public.  Another really good feature is the PLAN AHEAD section giving advance notice of important events and special weeks coming up in the next several months to assist program directors in scheduling timely speakers and to assist presidents in scheduling special club projects.
