KIWANIANS FOR KATRINA's CHILDREN |
| The Metro Kansas City Kiwanis Council conducted a campaign to provide aid to the children in the Hurricane Katrina disaster areas. This provided an additional opportunity for area Metro area clubs to work together for Young Children. A Grant of $10,000 was issued to the K-Bar-B Youth ranch for abused teenagers on March 1, 2006, with an additional grant of $7,595 on June 15, 2006. The grants will be used to help rebuild a badly needed residence hall so the camp can once again serve children. Click here for the current status of the campaign.
