Send a student to Key Leader
this fall!
Since the spring of 2005, Key Leader
events have been a great success. Here is what some had to say
about Key Leader weekends: "It
was great to see all of the students come out of their shell and
become friends with each other. Their ideas and point of view on
things was amazing. ...
This is one of the
best things I have ever encountered with Key Club or any other
organization. ... This
is the most effective leadership weekend I've ever experienced."
You have a chance to have a student
from your club or hometown attend a Key Leader event in the
Missouri-Arkansas District at:
- Camp Mihaska, Bourbon, Missouri,
October 26-28
- Camp Winnamocka, Arkadelphia, Arkansas,
November 2-4
Current Key Club members can receive
a $25 discount off the normal $160 cost. Invite high school
students in your club, community, church, or family who would love
to have this great experience in leadership development; and
remember they don't necessarily have to be in Key Club!
For more details, you can check
out the Web site at
www.key-leader.org,
which is where the students will register. Additionally, you can
contact
John Goss, our Missouri-Arkansas Key Leader chairperson.
Don’t delay, space is
limited. Register your future leaders today! |

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE
DIVISION 4 COUNCIL MEETING June 18, 2007 |
-
Due to changes at John Knox Village, we have been asked to move to a
different location and a different day to accommodate their changes. We
voted to accept the offer to move us to the Lakeside Cafe at John Knox
Village , at 600 NE Shamrock Dr, and to move our meetings to the
2nd Monday of each month. This is the same
location that the Lees Summit Club meets on Tuesday evenings, so if you have
been to an interclub you will know exactly where you are going.
We will not be meeting in July, due to the International Convention, or in
August due to the District Convention. The
next Division IV Council meeting will be September 10th at 5:45 - the
cafeteria will shut down at 6:00 so please don't arrive late if you are
planning on eating. We will try to start the meeting about 6:15 and be done
by 7:30.
Please park on the street or in the parking lot across the street, out of
courtesy we do not park in the lot where the cafe is located due to it being
reserved for residence of the building.
You can expect a slightly different menu, usually 2 entrees are offered, a
soup, a salad fixed to your order, or grill items such ass hamburgers,
Reuben's, chicken strips, etc. the prices are comparable to the other
location. The also offer cakes, pies, and cookies.
