Governor's Visit Service Project 2009

 

This year, Region 1 has adopted the Helen M. Davis State School for the severely handicapped in St. Joseph, MO as its Governor's Visit Service Project. It is a special education school offering classes for students in their local community. As a result of state and federal funding cuts, teachers have to provide a number of items for the school and students, and our Kiwanis clubs have an opportunity to serve by helping to provide these important and needed items.  Each club is asked to select items from the list below and bring them to the Governor's visit, to be donated to the school:

 

Cake mixes/frosting for birthday parties Fruit snacks  
Individual serving cups or boxes of pudding Drink mixes
Individual serving cups of applesauce Macaroni and cheese boxes  
 Quart/gallon zip lock bags    AA Batteries
Rechargeable AA batteries AA Battery Chargers
Washable markers Beach/swimming towels
Washcloths  
Grooming supplies: toothpaste, mouthwash, fingernail kits, etc.
